Hotel Review
Wythe Hotel, New York, USA
This is a great base for exploring Brooklyn, with Manhattan and the main sights not far away. The industrial feel of what was once a factory is retained at this hip hotel with buzzing public spaces.

MORE INFORMATION
Location
In the hip neighbourhood of Williamsburg, this hotel is next to two other trendy properties; you'll find plenty of shops, bars and clubs in the local area. We recommend the Italian restaurant Lilia and gastropub The Bedford.
The L Train station is on the Avenue, whisking you to Manhattan in a few minutes.
By plane: London, Manchester or Edinburgh to New York takes 7 hours, after which, a taxi takes 25 minutes. Book flights to New York.
Style
Dating back to 1901, this eight-storey hotel used to be a cooperage and the industrial feel is still present - think exposed brickwork, polished concrete floors, recaimed wood and cast-iron colours. Local artworks in the rooms adds a modern touch.
Service & Facilities
While the Wythe doesn't have too many facilities (no gym, spa or room service, for example), there is a a restaurant, bar-restaurant and rooftop terrace - and it more than makes up for it with its swish décor and cool ambience. Service is friendly and efficent.

Restaurants & Bars
Both ground-floor Le Crocodile Restaurant and the sixth-floor Blondeau Bar (with views of Manhattan) are popular. Like much of the menu, the Japanese fried chicken with mentaiko mayo is delicious. Le Crocodile has a bigger choice of dishes that won't disappoint.

The Blondeau Bar: wines, cocktails, small plates. Open daily from 5pm.
