The hotel is in the picturesque Ritec Valley, set within 200 acres of grounds that include ancient woodland and a 18-hole golf course. Monastic Caldey Island is a popular boat-trip excursion.
It's a 5-minute drive to the lively Pembrokeshire resort of Tenby, which has some great beaches, bars and restaurants.

By train: London to Tenby takes around 5 hours, after which, it's a 7-minute taxi to the hotel. Book trains to Tenby.
Style
The hotel is spread across a largely Victorian, multi-gabled stone building and assorted extensions and outbuildings. It's rustic yet modern, with wood-burning stoves, cosy lounges, a bar and a big, light-filled conservatory restaurant overlooking the golf course. It's informal with a gentle buzz.
Service & Facilities
The manor is owned and run by the Beynon family, and on our visit they were visibly present, chatting and fussing over guests. Staff were efficient and helpful. Dovecote Naturally spa offers a range of treatments including massages and facials.
