The hotel is on St Stephen's Green overlooking the park. You can also access the Iveagh Gardens park from the hotel garden.

Style

The hotel is split into the older part - which has a traditional feel - and a more modern wing. Georgian features such as high ceilings, sash windows, fireplaces and ornate plasterwork have been retained. There is lots of art all around the walls.

Service & Facilities

Service feels personal and is top-notch. There are some lovely facilities, including the outdoor terraces and gardens. From the gardens, you can access the Iveagh Gardens.

Bedrooms

You'll find traditional rooms with period features in the original Georgian townhouse. The rooms overlooking St Stephens' Green are exposed to noise from the busy road; however, the rooms in the modern wing at the hotel's rear are much quieter.

Room types: Twin, Townhouse Double, Deluxe Double, Superior Double, Triple, Family

Key amenities: ensuite bathroom with toiletries, hairdryer, tea and coffee-making facilities, bottled water, TV, free Wi-Fi

Restaurants & Bars

The hotel doesn't serve lunch or dinner, but the breakfast is gorgeous. Choose from a traditional full Irish breakfast or something healthier like eggs Florentine. Everything is high-quality, from the presentation to the taste. We loved the poached eggs, avocado and smoked Irish salmon.

Breakfast: served daily, from 7am Mon-Fri and 8am at weekends. Options include continental, charcuterie board, pancakes and full Irish.

Afternoon tea: served daily (12-4pm) in the libary or garden, weather permitting.
