This historic building has a golden stone façade and a crooked tiled roof. The interior gives a feeling of grandeur, with antiques and plush soft furnishings. The restaurant is in a striking modern extension and offers views across the garden to the river.

Expect a top-notch dining experience in the restaurant, with beautiful views and excellent service. You can hire a boat nearby and the hotel has hotel has moorings on the river. Overall, the hotel has old-school charm but feels well cared for throughout.

Bedrooms

Rooms can be found in both the main house and the boathouse - the former are full of character, while boathouse rooms are more spacious, have the advantage of being on the water's edge and have French doors leading to a veranda overlooking the river.

Restaurants & Bars

Expect river views and dishes presented with French flare in the restaurant. Local ingredients bring to life Chef Stephan Guinebault's childhood in the Loire Valley. We recommend the pheasant breast wrapped in pancetta with oyster mushroom and thyme jus.

The Garden Room: classic French/British cuisine. Open daily for breakfast and dinner, Fri-Sun for lunch. Evening set menu from £70.

The Drawing Room: afternoon tea served daily, 3:30-5pm.
