Myconian Korali, Mykonos Town, Mykonos

Located in the Megali Ammos area at the top of a hill, the hotel is in a complex alongside the Myconian brand's two other hotels - and offers commanding views. Nearby, you'll find the party beaches of Cavo Paradiso and Super Paradise.

The historic island of Delos is a 30-minute boat trip from the port.

While the hotel's exterior is typical of Cycladic island architecture with its whitewashed walls, the interior is more contemporary. There are bold splashes of colour throughout from fabrics and artworks. The lobby with its comfy sofas looks out to sea, as does the pool, with the deck area replete with yellow and blue parasols and cushions - and there's a stone-walled beach bar nearby.

The helpful concierge can book excursions and suggest top restaurants, bars and activities. Facilities include a bar, restaurant, gym and spa (shared with the two sister hotels on-site). Personal training can be arranged and there's also a yoga studio and Pilates classes.

Fine dining Baos focuses on local ingredients. There's a tasting menu, as well as a good selection of fish and seafood. A buffet-style breakfast is served in the mornings with hot options, cold cuts and cheeses, pastries and fruit. The baked tomato with feta and mushrooms was delicious.
