Embark on the Edward Thomas trail from Steep village, just ten minutes away by car, or head a further ten minutes to explore Jane Austen's home.
The hotel is just a few minutes off the A3 and an eight minute drive from Petersfield train station with fast links to London.
By car: the drive from London takes around 1 hour 45 minutes. From Birmingham, the drive is 2 hours 45 minutes. There is parking at the hotel.
By train: the closest train station is Petersfield. Trains from London Waterloo take around 1 hour 10 minutes and 40 minutes from Portsmouth. The hotel is an 8 minute taxi ride away. Book trains to Petersfield.
