MORE INFORMATION
Location
Located on a private island, this welcome oasis is a great choice for those not wanting to be in the centre of things.
This island resort is a 20-minute water transfer away from the main sites of the city - equidistant between Venice and the Lido.
By plane: London to Venice takes 2 hours, after which an airport boat takes 1 hour 20 minutes to St Mark's Square and the hotel's shuttle service to the hotel takes 20 minutes. Book flights to Venice.
Style
Originally a sanatorium, the hotel's interiors remain minimalist, white and clean. There are a mix of styles, for example, the fine dining restaurant is all brickwork, glass and steel. Understated luxury is the overall vibe.
Service & Facilities
Facilities range from art exhibitions and the cookery school (where you can learn make pasta and gnocchi), to boutiques and a coffee shop. There's an outdoor rooftop pool and large spa complex, with hydrotherapy pool, thermal suite and treatment rooms.

Restaurants & Bars
Try the five-course tasting menu with paired wines at fine dining Dopolavoro. The Sagra rooftop restaurant is more relaxed with a beach club vibe - the roasted octopus tentacle with Jerusalem artichokes and potatoes was memorable. The breakfast buffet was lavish and can be eaten on the terrace.
Agli Amici Dopolavoro: fine dining, Italian cuisine. Open Tue-Sun for dinner.
Sagra: casual rooftop restaurant, Italian cuisine. Open daily for lunch and dinner.
Cucina: buffet breakfast served daily, 7-11am.
