Location
Set on a quiet, tree-lined street in Belgravia (one of London's most upmarket area), it's under a 10-minute walk to Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey and the river Thames. Enjoy the bars, restaurants and boutiques of Ebury Street and Eccleston Yards.
The hotel is close to Victoria station, with high-speed rail links to Gatwick Airport, the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express and trains to Southampton cruise terminal.
By car: around 4 hours from Manchester and 2 hours 30 minutes from Bristol. On-site parking costs £60 per day.
By train: Victoria station is a 3-minute walk. Book trains to London.
Style
Edwardian architect John Evelyn Trollope designed the hotel, the first in the world to offer central heating, as well ensuite bathrooms in every room. Playful hand-painted wallpaper in the Front Hall and gilt botanical prints over the fireplace were recent renovations made by interior designer Russel Sage.

The Veranda overlooking the garden serves informal and dinners and delectable afternoon teas.
