MORE INFORMATION

Location

Even though it's situated along the roadside, Rhinefield Road is merely a narrow strip of pavement separating the hotel from a seemingly boundless stretch of forest. You can embark on walks directly from the front door, including a walk to Lyndhurst. The National Motor Museum at Beaulieu and the charming Georgian sailing town of Lymington are both a convenient 15-minute drive away.

The town of Brockenhurst is a few minutes' drive away.

By car: London is around 2 hours 30 minutes away and Southampton around 30 minutes. Free parking at the hotel for guests.

By train: The journey from London Waterloo to Brockenhurst takes 1 hour 40 minutes and just over 2 hours from Oxford. The station is a five-minute taxi ride from the hotel. Book trains to Brockenhurst.

Style

Housed in a striking gabled building from the 19th century, originally a vicarage, the hotel retains numerous period features seamlessly blended with contemporary styling. Fashionable floral wallpaper serves as a backdrop to stags heads and gilt-framed paintings.

Service & Facilities

Winter sees the popularity of dinner tribute shows, while in the summer, pop-up champagne bars take advantage of the garden. Feel free to grab a walking map from reception and slip on a pair of wellies. Enthusiastic staff are under the guidance of in-house manager Kevin Wood and strive for perfection.

The Enchanted Forest afternoon tea is beautifully presented, with floral themed pastries emerging from cocoa-crumble soil.

The Acorn Room: formal fine dining, locally sourced. Open daily for breakfast lunch and dinner. Mains start at £13.90
