Style
The décor is enjoyably old school, featuring leather banquettes and bookshelves. There are nods to the area's tennis heritage. Downstairs is a large pub, and its series of smaller and more private spaces adds a sense of cosiness. During the winter months enjoy the open fire, while in the summer, make the most of the outdoor terrace.

Restaurants & Bars
The ground-floor pub offers an impressive gin list, plus classic cocktails and local beers. The dining room serves some genuinely excellent pub grub - such as burgers, ploughmans and roasts on Sundays. A pub can be judged by the quality of its fish and chips, and here they are reliably excellent - the beer-battered haddock as crispy as the accompanying triple-fried potatoes. Try the feta and spinach arancini to start, too.
Dog & Fox: elegant pub and restaurant, British cuisine, seasonal menus. All-day dining, open daily. Mains from £16.
