Style

With its cosy lounges, conservatory with views of the gardens and old-fashioned service, this is a traditional country hotel. While the main restaurant is more formal, with a smart dress code and attentive service, the rest of the hotel is more relaxed.

Service is professional yet friendly and personalised. Facilities include the gardens, golf course, tennis courts and spa. You can explore the river by a guided kayak tour or boat trip.

Restaurants & Bars

Breakfast is a lavish affair - continental options followed by a cooked to order dish. Dinner in the restaurant is formal, but for more casual dining, try the conservatory. Food is local, seasonal and presented with flair. When you're so close to the sea you have to try the locally caught fish.

Restaurant: modern British cuisine, seasonal menus. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Four-course menu from £51.

Afternoon tea: served daily in the cocktail bar, conservatory or terrace, 3-5pm.
