Location
The Beach at Bude is ideally located on the North Cornish coast, perched atop Summerleaze Beach, a mere stone's throw from the town centre. A brief stroll takes you to the Bude Sea Pool, an idyllic location for open-water swimming, blending natural and artificial elements.
A quick two-minute walk through the dunes leads directly to the beach, while the South West Coastal Path beckons nearby.
By car: just off the A39 to Bath, the hotel is an hour and 20 minutes from Exeter or Plymouth and two hours from Taunton.
By train: Bude doesn't have great train links. It's best to jump off at Exeter St Davids and transfer to the hotel by bus or car (1 hour 30 mins). Book trains to Exeter St Davids.
By plane: Newquay Airport (1 hour's drive) and Exeter Airport (1 hour 20 mins drive).
Style
This is an impeccably refurbished hotel, beautifully merging contemporary style and the original Victorian heritage. There's a refreshing coastal aesthetic, reminiscent of New England beach-chic, and comfort is central to the design. The bar is inspired by a members' club in Manchester and provides a real focal point and a touch of sophistication.
