The hotel is on the corner of Princes Street and the North Bridge, and you can't get more central than that; it's perfectly positioned between the Old and New Towns.
Walk straight out of Waverley Station and into the hotel. The location is ideal for getting everywhere and exploring everything.
By car: around an hour from Glasgow, 2 hours 45 minutes from Newcastle and 4 hours from Manchester. Paid parking available nearby.
By train: Glasgow Queens Street to Edinburgh Waverley takes around 50 minutes, it's 3 hours from Manchester Piccadilly and 4 hours 45 minutes from London Kings Cross - after which, it's a minute's walk to the hotel. Book trains to Edinburgh.

From its exterior, the hotel has a Victorian baronial-meets-Renaissance Italy air. Oonce you've stepped inside however, it's cool and classy with subtle hints of Scotland.
