MORE INFORMATION
Location
While there's a lot going on in the neighbouthood, the hotel is away from the main tourist sights; it's a little quieter and feels more like genuine New York. For foodie spots, we recommend rustic pizza at Marta, and La Pecora Blanca for more upmarket Italian cuisine.
The hotel is between 29th Street and Broadway in the centre of Manhattan, with plenty of subway lines nearby.
By plane: London, Manchester or Edinburgh to New York takes 7 hours, after which, a taxi takes an hour. Paid parking available nearby. Book flights to New York.
Style
Dating back to 1904, the building's design is striking and the hotel's interior is mainly a colour palette of monochrome colours. The lobby are is large and open, with a high ceiling, plenty of seating and a long black marble table, often used as a workspace. Its facilities also attract locals.
Service & Facilities
The large lobby often has people co-working during the day, while at night, the DJ sets give it a nightclub feel. In terms of facilities, there are a couple of bars and restaurants, a small gallery space, a hairdressers, a shop and a basement gym, which contains basic equipment.
